PRAGUE, November 30.
The joint Houses of Parliament elected Dr. Emil Hacha first President of the second Czechoslovak Republic. M. Rudolf Beran, aged 51, leader of the Agrarian Party and opponent of the policy of the former President, Dr. Benes, has been appointed Premier of Czechoslovakia, arid M. Sokol, secretary-general of the Slovak People's Party, Vice-Premier. ■M. Chvalkovsky remains Foreign Minister.
