The Nelson Trotting Club has writtten to ."Mr. .0. R. McKenzie, chairman ■o£ the citi-zehs' .(committee, stating that the proposal ito faring Greyhound, and probably anothetf horse from America, to meet lawn Derby and the best of the TNTew 'Zealanld horses was an excellent ,one wMclh would boost trotting in 'the dominion! The club has offered to donate £10 towards the cosit of bringing Greyhouad to iNew Zealand. While the scheme to bring Greyhaund has not ashet with favourable consideration toy jail clubs, there is a feeling *ha± if itjjie world's champion pacer Billy "JDiretrt will come for a reasonable amountt, the necessary finance will ;be available. ■ ■
