UNUSUAL ENDING TO BOUT

Speedy Cabanella, (Bst 101b) was declared the winner against Tony Mack (9st), in the sixth round of a contest arranged for eight rounds, at the Rushcutter Bay Stadium -recently, states the "Sydney Morning Herald." •

The contest had an unusual ending. Mack was down twice in the sixth round and When he regained his feet a police inspector in plain clothes at the ringside signalled to * the referee, Mr. Joe Wallis, who immediately stopped the engagement and awarded Cabanella the decision. Tlie inspector called the referee and complained that Cabanella was delivering kidney punches, but the referee stated that the Filipino had not offended in this respect.
