LONDON MEAT MARKET
The Bank of New Zealand,, produce department, has received: the following advice from its London office as at close of business this Week:—The demand for wethers is moderate. Smaller supplies have caused prices to harden. The market for ewes is quiet and unchanged. There is a fair demand for lambs and the market is steady. The market is more active for chilled beef. Trade generally is brighter, with a better demand. Wethers, light 4?d to 5 3-Bd, heavy 4 l-8d to 4 srßd; ewes, 2id to 3£d; lambs, 2's 7 7-8 dto Bd, B's 7 7-8 d to Bd, 4's 7 3-8 dto 7£d, seconds 6 7-8 d to 7d; chilled hinds, 54d to 6d; chilled fores, 3i*d to 35d.'
