WELCOME AT AUCKLAND
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, This Day.
The Prime Minister (the Rt. Hon. J&. J. Savage) was cheered by a crowd at the railway station on his arrival by the Limited from Wellington. Among those who welcomed him were mem* bers of the Labour Party and the.Town Clerk (Mr. J. Melling).
Mr. Savage proceeded to his hotel and later visited Ellerslie for the opening of the Auckland Racing Club's Spring Meeting. Tonight he will be the guest of the Labour Club.
' On Monday Mr. Savage will meet his constituents and attend the Labour Ball. On Tuesday he will give ant address at the Town Hall. He expects to leave on Thursday night for Hamil* ton and Wellington in completion ol his election tour.
