WOMEN'S GOLF

THE AUCKLAND FINAL

(By Telegraph—Press Association.)

AUCKLAND, October 6.

The Auckland women's provincial golf championship was won this afternoon by Mrs. R. S. Deighton, Titirangi Club, who beat Mrs. C. E. Grevatt, Maungakiekie, in the final, 4 and 2.

The winner played consistently good golf. She recorded bogey figures for five holes and a birdie at the eighth on the outward half, being 4 up. Mrs. Grevatt improved for a period, but was unable to maintain the pressure, and the game ended at the sixteenth. Mrs. Deighton previously won the championship in 1925.
