PROSPECTS FOR FINAL DAY

DUNEDIN, This Day.
Southerly rain squalls have prevailed since the conclusion of the first day's racing, but as yet there has been insufficient rain to affect the going seriously, and, with good prospects of the weather clearing for the second day of the Dunedin Jockey Club's. Meeting tomorrow, the racing conditions should be little different from what they were yesterday. The, chief attraction ist the Dunedin Guineas, for which Defaulter will be a hot favourite. The Kaikorai Handicap is now the last race and the Clarendon Handicap the third race. The following promise to run well:— Wakari Hurdles.—Mount Val, Grand Finale.
