J. L. BLACK V. HORNE

When J. L. Black and Guy Home met in the second round of the Hutt Club's championship last weekend, it was the sixth occasion on which the pair had met. The first five games were won by Black, but Home scored

a win in their latest match, which went to the twenty-first hole.

Home was dormy 2 at one stage, but Black was all square at ihe eighteenth. Black had a glorious opportunity to take the match at the nineteenth, but he paid the penalty for missing a fifteen-inch putt and the hole was squared. The twentieth was halved in 5, but at the twentyfirst Home chipped up beautifully to win the hole and match.
