LAWN TENNIS

ST. STEPHEN'S CLUB

The official opening of the 1938-39 season of the St. Stephen's Tennis Club took place recently in ideal tennis weather. There was an attendance of 65 members and visitors. The president (Mr. F. A. Feist) expressed the pleasure it gave him to welcome all present.

Mr. W. O. Gibb, in declaring the season, open, said that the club was very fortunate in having its courts in such ideal surroundings and he wished the club every success for the coming season. Mrs. Gibb hit the first ball over the net. The Rev. J. E. Lopdell, patron, and Mr. Kersley^ also expressed their good wishes for the continued success of the club.
