NO PAYMENT TO FRANKLIN

As a result of an inquiry by the Wellington Boxing Association into the conduct of the bout between Clarrie Rayner, of Blenheim, lightweight champion of New Zealand, and Joe Franklin, of Hawke's Bay, at the Wellington Town Hall last Thursday evening, in which Franklin was disqualified in the fourth round, it has been decided to make no payment to Franklin.. Rayner's share of the purse will not be withheld.
