APOLLO WOMEN'S CLUB
A delightful evening was spent by the Apollo Women's Club recently. Mv\. W. H. P. Walshe presiding. Songs were given by Mrs. Jackson and' Miss Coombes, and violin solos by Mrs. Alexander, Mrs. Collins being the accompanist. Several Maori songs were sung by Miss Weno Tahiwi, who was accompanied by Mr. H. Temple White. Miss Tahiwi also gave a most interesting talk about her recent trip abroad with the Maori choir. / v
A very happy function took place at supper time, when presentations were made to Mr. and Mrs.-H. Temple White to mark the completion of Mr. White's twenty-five years' service to music in Wellington. The president referred to the close and happy relationship which has always existed between Mr. White and the club, of which Mrs. White is a foundation member. Mr. White replied on behalf ot himself and Mrs. White.
Supper was served by Mesdemes Caldwell, Sunley, and Thomas, and Miss Stokes.
