BOYS' DEPARTMENT
The annual meeting of the Ladies' Auxiliary of the V.M.C.A. Boys' Division was held- recently.. Mrs. Brooker presided and 27 members were present. Two new members, Mesdames Duncan and Graeey, were warmly welcomed. Reports of the previous month's activities were presented and general satisfaction expressed. A successful "coin afternoon" had recently been held in the lounge, Mrs. Eteveneaux was warmly welcomed back after several months' sick leave. Mr. Victor Jones addressed the meeting and expressed his apprication of the work done by the ladies. Mr. Briggs, new boys' work secretary, is expected to arrive on October 13. The officers elected for the ensuing year were as follows: —President, Mrs. .Brooker (re-elected); vice-presidents, .Mesdames Steptoe and Niven; secretary, Mrs. Rodgers (re-elected); treasurer, Mrs. Morrell (re-elected); committee, Mesdames Waller, Potter, Inniss, and Miss Niven; joint reporters, Mesdames W. Denby and Deane. The representatives from the senior ladies' auxiliary were Mesdames Hannah, Appleton and Jones. Mrs. Deane contributed two solos accompanying herself, v A dainty afternoon tea was served by Mesdames Steptoe, Trigger, and Waller.
