CONTRACT BRIDGE

The following are the results of tournaments held at .the Wellington Bridge Club during September:— ":

Dr. Hutchison is still top of the individual'ladder with Mrs. C. M-.Banks and Mrs. J. O'Donovan .third: Th<l winners for September 13 were-Dr*. Finlay and H. H. Young (N.S.), and Mrs. Sampson and. G.Maxfield (E.W.), and for September 27 Mrs. Reading; and Miss Bunny (N;S.). Mr...and Mrs. H. H. Young and Mrs. Sampson and. G. Maxfield tied for E.W. X X Goblets for recreation evenings; were won ,;by . Mrs.. Retry and Dr. Finlay (S.W.) and Mrs. A. T. Duncan and Mrs. J. Hutchison (E.W.) for September 6, and Mr. and Mrs. A..T. Duncan (Njs'S.) and Mrs. Peacock and J^ McDermont (E.W.) for. September: 20. The ladies' pairs afternoon tournament is now completed, the winners being Mrs. P. G. Rose and Mrs. F. Gill first, and Mrs. Miles Samuel- and Mrs. H. Emanuel second.

The Yankee teams of four turnament is not yet completed, but up to date1 Miss Bunny's team. (Dr. and Mrs. Huti chison and Mrs. H. H. Young) has had two losses, arid Mrs. C. M. Banks's team (Mrs. J. B. Forster, Mrs. J. O'Dbribvan, and Mrs. F. Gill) has had three losses.
