TRENTHAM GOLD CUP
On Saturday the Olympic Club will conduct the Trentham Gold Cup race of 20 miles. This annual event is for inter-club individual honours and teams of six men, and is over a course of four laps of five miles a lap. The course is a typical cross-country one and each lap consists of about four miles' of paddock and one • mile of gravelled road, with about half a dozen fences and a perfect running surface. Last year's team's winner, Brooklyn, will be well represented again, and the individual winner, G. McCallum. 5f Brooklyn Club, will be running again. A good field is, expected to start, and one of the entrants is J. Blanchfield, of the Olympic Club, who won the race three years ago and whose time of 2hr Bmin stands as the race record. Competitors will assemble at Bunny Street at 1 p.m. sharp Saturday.
