ACADEMY OF FINE ARTS
The fiftieth anniversary exhibition of the New Zealand Academy of Fine Arts is attracting much attention. Visitors express their appreciation of the particularly fine work on view and h^ve shown this in a practical mariner by purchasing works. The following sales have been made: —"Autumn! Christchurch," by Mrs. E. Kelly; "Charlie," by Mr. A. H. O'Keefe; "Across the Straits," by Mr. T. A. McCormack; "Les Angles, South of France," by Mr. J. Cook; "In the Fields, Hurunui" and "Meadow and Stream," by Mr. W. S. Wauchop; "Sunlight," by Mr. C. Kelly; "A Bend in the Road," "West Coast, Wellington/ "Evening," "Fordell Farm," "Land Breezes," by Mr. Nugent Welch; "Rain Clouds, Puponga," "Evening, Routeburn Valley," by Mr. B. Honour; "End of Her Voyage," by Mr. D, Darroch; "Chinoiserie," by Joan Dukes; "Shadows," "Winter Morning, Gibraltar,'' by Mr. M. E. R. Tripe: "Tulip Tree," by Mr. A. Gray; "West Melton Road," "September," "Brown's Farmyard," "Loburn," by Mr. A. F. Nicoll; "Roses," by Jean McKay; "Madonna and Camellias," by Betty Rhind.
The exhibition is open daily and in the evening with the exception of Saturday.
