INVERCARGILL, This Day.
Speaking at Lumsden evening, the leader of the National Party (the Hon. A. Hamilton) said that statements had been made about the Southland Frozen Meat Company and himself that might have to be answered before long. "When people tell half the truth and don't tell the whole truth it is not fair fighting," he said.
"Government members- have had the opportunity of bringing the matter up in the House of Representatives during the last four years when I have been there to answer them. They would not do that, however, and now they are rushing around the country telling half the story. If they think they can win an election by telling half truths, they are -making a grave mistake. The Hon. R. Semple, and, - I understand, my opponent, also, have been going round with stories about the frozen meat company and myself."
