An opportunity for the Wellington public to see how talkie films are prepared is offered by Standard Film Laboratories, Ltd., 45a Courtenay Place, who will throw their plant open on Saturday next from 9 a.m. till 1 p.m. Standard Films are. a new New Zealand Company formed with the object of making films for world release. Experts have been engaged and a training school for talent opened. Some thousands of pounds' worth of film producing and processing equipment has been purchased, and preparations are now being made for the first film. Educational, documentary, and newsreel films' are also made by this company, which is the largest of its kind in the Dominion.
