In the ordinary course of nature he Will become the 15th Duke of Hamilton, 12th Duke of Brandon, as well as Duke of Chatelherault in France, the latter dating from 1516. There are, therefore, three dukedoms to his credit.

These titles by no means exhaust the list: there are also two Earjdoms and four Baronies.

It is possible that the baby will be given the title of Earl of Angus, which dates from 1389.

As Lady Elizabeth Percy, sister of the Duke of Northumberland and daughter of the Duchess ■of Northumberland, Mistress of the Robes to the Queen, Lady Clydesdale was one of the Queen's trainbearers at the Coronation.

' She- married Lord Clydesdale, M.P., son and heir of the Duke of Hamilton, Scotland's premier peer, on December 2.
