TAWA FLAT AFFAIRS
Following considerable dissatisfaction regarding the Power Board's attitude to the relocation of certain street lights at Tawa Flat, the board representative for the district has been asked to attend the next meeting of the Tawa Flat Progressive and Ratepayers' Association to discuss the position. This decision was reached by the association at a meeting last night, Mr. Duncan presiding.
Satisfaction was expressed at the successful termination to the efforts to have the. North School site fenced.
The danger at night created by the open drains crossing footpaths is being brought to the notice of the body responsible.
E. Johnston and Co., auctioneers, will sell household furnishings at the residence, 60 King's Crescent, Lower Hutt, tomorrow, at 12.30 p.m. They will also sell household furnishings at their mart, 8 Willeston Street, on Friday, at 12.30 p.m.
