EX-RHODES SCHOLARS

Former New Zealand Rhodes Scholars at present in Wellington are to meet Lord Lothian at luncheon at the Hotel Waterloo tomorrow. Lord Lothian is secretary of the Rhodes Trust and has been visiting Australia, where he attended the British Commonwealth Relations Conference. He arrived today from Sydney by the Maunganui.

The- City Council some time ago agreed to advance £250 towards the expenses of the Boy Scout Jamboree to be held during the Exhibition period. Last night a request was made by the Boys' Brigade for similar assistance, and on the Mayor's, suggestion a sum of £25 was agreed upon, as being in proportion to the number of boys \vho would be attending the camps, the Boy Scouts expecting 5000 and the Boys' Brigade about 500.
