MANAWATU GORGE LINE

PALMERSTON N., This Day,
The Railway Department advises that the Manawatu Gorge line will remain closed through tomorrow,"'being opened possibly on Thursday at noon. Three buses are employed in transporting passengers through the gorge from express trains.
Land sufficient for 44 houses has been purchased by the State at Lower Hutt, fronting the main Hutt Road near Lincoln Avenue, and in High Street.
