ACCIDENT WITH JIGGER
(By Telegraph—Press Association $ INVERCARGILL, October 3. William Frederick Watson, railway purfaceman, single, of Colac Bay, was found dead at the side of the Irack near Colac Bay this evening. Marks on the track suggest that, his | motor-jigger jumped the rails. Mr. ] Watson was found with his face in about four inches of water in a wjatertable at the side of the track.
While working on the Public Wdlrks job in the Ngahauranga Gorge yesterday, Mr. N. Henman, a compressor attendant, of 24 Manchester Street, Petone, was struck on the head with a draw-bar. He was taken to hospital with head injuries by the Free Amfrulance,
