No. 5 level: North stope—Stone 3ft 6in wide. North stope, south end: Stone 2ft 6in wide, very broken. No. 4 level: Prospecting in north end. Stone 2ft wide. Gold visible. No. 6 level: Plan distance now exceeds 15ft. Solid not yet to hand. Sent to the battery, 24 tons of stone.

(By Telegraph— I'ress- Assoeiat'on.i DUNEDIN, October 3. The Clutha River wash-up was 160oz for 132 hours. The Gillespie's Beach wash-up was 250z Bdwt for 120 hours. Okarito wash-up was 30oz 17dwt for 119 hours.
