BACK PAY?
"What about those married? Is there any back pay?" inquired interjectors at an address by the Hon. J. G. Cobbe in Feilding, when he made reference to the National Party's furniture loan proposal. Mention of this created great amusement, and there was plenty of advice proffered by a minority element at the rear of the hall. Mr. Cobbe said he had been, asked what would be the basis of repayment for these loans if twins were born, and he had replied that £50 would be written off, "and in the case of triplets, the full £100."
