GREYMOUTH, October 2,

A large audience saw the final wrestling bout of the season in the Town Hall on Saturday night when "Lofty" Blomfield beat Pat Meehan by two falls to one. Blomfield took the first fall in the fourth round with a body press following a series of head throws and a dump. Meehan equalised in the sixth with a flying figure four body scissors. The bout ended in the seventh round when Meehan submitted to an octopus clamp.
