In the final Association football Test played in Melbourne on Saturday, Australia beat India, 3-1.

A friendly cricket match was played during the weekend at Maidstone Park between teams representing the Watersiders and St. George Cricket Clubs. The game endd in victory for the St. George team by 5 runs. St. George scored 111 runs in the first innings and 114 in the second (Miller, 34 and 49) and Watersiders made 125 and 95 (Ratner 21, T. Goggan 31 and 26, Pike 21 and 21).
