BEAUTIFYING A BAY

Sir, —I read' recently with interest of the proposal to erect a spectacular fountain at Oriental Bay. Could not something be done to improve the general appearance by covering over with some colourful growth the hideous clay banks which disfigure the "whole bay as viewed from the city or the harbour. The old quarry near the Orient Hotel is particularly hideous.— I am, etc., • HARMONY.
