OBITUARY
MRS. AGNES ISITT
Mrs. Agnes Isitt, widow of tlie Hon. L. M. Isitt, died at her home, Cashmere Hills, Christchurch, on Tuesday. Mrs. Isitt was born at Lyttelton 81 years ago, and was a daughter of Mr. John Scott Claverhill. Most of her early life was spent at Hawkeswood, North Canterbury. For a time she lived at Motunau, where her father owned the Motunau station. About 1884 she married the Rev. L. M. Isitt, who was a minister of the Methodist Church. After her marriage, she lived at Masterton, New Plymouth, and Wellington, before settling in Christchurch. ! j Mrs. Isitt is survived by one son, Group-Captain L. M. Isitt (Wellington), one daughter, Mrs. C. J. Thornton (Christchurch), one sister, Miss Alice Claverhill (Oxford, North Canterbury), and three brothers, Messrs. C. Claverhill (Plimmerton), F. Claverhill (Whangarei), and J. Claverhill (Te Kuiti). One son was killed at the Great War.. The funeral was held at Christchurch on Thursday.
AWATEA TO RESUME
The Awatea, having completed her overhaul at Sydney, is due back at Wellington on Monday but she will bring no passengers. She will resume her running on Wednesday, when sto» "ill leave for Sydney at S p.m.
