AUCKLAND SENIOR FOURS
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) HAMILTON, January 29. Excellent rowing was seen at the Hamilton regatta today. The weather was fine and a large crowd attended. The main event, the Auckland senior fours championship, was won easily by Clifton, who rowed with great blend and balance, showing prospects for the season's fours championship. Results were as follows:— Maiden Doubles.—Tauranga 1, Hamilton 2, Auckland 3. Maiden Fours.—Waitemata 1, Auckland 2, St. George 3. Junior Fours. —Mercer 1, Ngaruawahia 2, Auckland 3. Maiden Eights.—Waitemata 1, West End 2, Auckland 3. Senior Fours. —Clifton 1, Waitemata 2, Tauranga 3. Singles.—J. T. Plummer (Tauranga) 1, 3, H. Plummer (Tauranga) 2, T. Duncan (Hamilton), 3. Non-class Weights.—Waitemata 1, Auckland 2, West End 3. Youths' Fours. —Tauranga 1, West End 2, Mercer 3. Maiden Fours.—Ngaruawahia 1,, St. George's 2, Auckland University 3.
