ROYAL BIOGRAPHY
The indefatigable biographer Mr. Hector Bolitho has lost no time in turning his attention to the present King, Eyre and Spottiswoode being the publishers of this, his latest, biography. The book is first and foremost a character study, from which we learn how the keynote both of the King's character and of his tastes has been simplicity and a keen and growing interest in those ordinary questions which determine the character of nations and individuals alike. - Mr. Bolitho has made a particular study of .the King's association with the Industrial Welfare Movement and of the "Duke of York's Camp." In these chapters, and in that on'the King and the Commonwealth, the author touches very frankly on a wide range of contemporary problems, and of the part: a constitutional monarchy may play in their solution.
