MOTOR TROUBLE
CHINA CLIPPER PUTS BACK
HONOLULU, January 26.
The China Clipper was forced back because of motor trouble when two hours but en route to Midway Island. It landed safely. There were 14 passengers.
On January 22 the China Clipper experienced mechanical trouble when 700 miles out from Alameda, and returned to California. The Clipper left San Francisco at 6.6 p.m. (Eastern Standard time), and turned back at 2 a.m. The Clipper landed without incident at 9.35 a.m.
