A conference in connection with the building proposals of the Wellington Hospital Board is to be held in Wellington on February 18. . . '
The Minister of Health (the Hon. P. Fraser) has written to the Hospital Board stating that he has invited members of the contributory local bodies in the board's district to meet him to discuss the proposals. There would also be present at the conference the Director-General of Health and other officers of Hie Health Department, and he would also like to be present the chairman and members of the Hospital Board, the medical superintendent, the matron, the secretary, the architect, the honorary staff, and any others the chairman of the board might desire.
The conference is to be held in Parliament Buildings at 8 p.m. >
The Eastbourne Borough Council last evening received a letter from the Minister of Health in reference to the conference. The chairman of the Hospital Board asked him to say, said Mr. Fraser, that should the members of the council wish to see for themselves , the conditions obtaining at the hospital, the medical superintendent would be glad, on application being made to him, to arrange for parties to be shown over the institution. He suggested that it would be of considerable help to the members in discussing the building proposals if such a visit could be arranged prior to the meeting. {
The invitation to attend the conference was accepted.
