At the wool sales 8788 bales were offered, including 4026 from New, Zealand, and 6984 were sold. A moderate [selection met a keen demand'from the Home trade and the bulk was sold at the ruling rates. New Zealand greasy crossbreds VTiti" realised 103 a lb" average, and 12Jd i highest; "Hiku" IOJd and lljd; "Te 'Whanga" IOJd and lljd. ' Slipe, halfbred lambs, "Eclipse," made 131 d average and 14£ d highest.
