LONDON, January 26.

At the Wimbledon Police' Court the New Zealand flying woman, Miss Jean •Batten, through her agent, John Ashford Smith, was granted an: occasional licence for a public dance at the Palais de* Dance at. Merton on January 28.

.- 'Smith said he was organising dances throughout the countryside in an effort to collect funds for another flight. It was really Miss Batten's dance, but the management of the hall would take half the receipts.
