LONDON, January 26. The Rome correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph" says that, according to the newspaper "II Popolo di Roma," Signor Mussolini will shortly promulgate a decree for the construction of an entirely new mercantile. fleet of 2,000,000 tons to be completed in ten years. / , .
The ships will be the fastest and most modern in Europe. They will carry foreign freights and bring foreign currency to Italy, and will also be useful for conversion into auxiliary warships if necessary.
