(By Telegraph—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH;' January 26. ' Entries in most sections of the Addington 'market today showed a decline on those of last week, fat sheep being principally affected. There, was a firmer sale for fat lambs, while sheep recovered part of last we.ek's drop. Store sheep were unaltered, and fat cattle, except for t best sorts, were easier. <

Store Sheep.—Between 8000 and 9000 were penned, mostly wether lambs, which' sold at little change. • Forward wethers were firm, and some good pens of ewes were in demand. Best two-tooths made 30s; best wether lambs 17s to 18s 7d; forward wethers, 21s to 245. '..,,-

Fat lambs. —About 1150 were; penned, of slightly better : quality. For prime sorts butchers paid up-to 8d per lb, others at schedule price. Fat Sheep.—Nearly 600 were penned, as against 7500 last week. Best wethers were firmer by up to Is 6d,, heavy ewes by at least Is, and,freezing sorts were firm at late rates. Extra prime wethers made to 38s 4d, good 29s 6d to 345; prime medium, 27s to 295; best ewes, to 295; good, 22s to 245; medium, 18s to 21s; light, down to 14s. Fat Cattle.—Five hundred were penned. Good cattle maintained last'- week's rates, but "medium cows and unfinished, steers were down by 10s a head! Best steers made from £14 to £17, good £12 to £13 15s; light, down to £8.155; best heifers, to £12 7s 6d; good,; £9 10s to £11; light, down to; £5; best cows, to
