KHANDALLAH STREETS
DISSATISFIED ELECTORS
Dissatisiaction with the condition ot many streets in Khandallah, especially in the Te Kaianga area, was expressed at a recent meeting of the Khandallan Progress Association. It was considered that much more should be done, to keep the roads and footpaths in reasonably 'good order. A deputation comprising Messrs. Galloway, Desborough, Hill, Quinn, and Barvington was appointed wait on the City Engineer to stress the urgent need for improvement. \ It ,wa decided lo support the proposal of the Hataitai Municipal, Electors' Association to form an executive body represen '.ng all the suburban associations for the purpose of furthering'the interests oi all'suburbs. The president, Mr. v M."3. Galloway, and secretary, Mr. B. Barringtou. were appointed delegates. , The Railway Department is to be approached for information ■as to how it is intended to handle heavy goods to Khar-dailah after the commencement of the electric service.
