AUSTRALIAN WINE.
Minimum prices fixed by the Australian Wine Board for wine for sales overseas represent roughly an increase of 6d a gallon to the producer. The board has altered its basis of calculation. I Previously • the minimum price for sweet white wine ■ was 3s a gallon, and for sweet red wine 2s lOd a gallon. Now, there is no distinction. The price depends on the type of wood used in the casks. _ _ The minimum prices in British currency are:—For wine (on which the bounty has been claimed), in imported oak casks 35,6 d a gallon, wood included in bond! British port of entry; in other than imported oak wood. 3s 2d a gallon. The equivalent prices in Australian currency, f.0.b., Australian port of shipment, are 3s 7d and 3s 2d a gallon.
The twenty-second Swiss Industries Fair will be hels at Basle from March 26 till April: 5: A wide range of Swiss products will be displayed. From year ,to year the fair attracts an increasing number/ of overseas visitors.
