SUBMARINE'S ATTACK
BRITISH STEAMER
EASTERN MEDITERRANEAN
(Received January 26, 11 a.m.) MALTA, January 25. A submarine is reported to have attacked without warning the British. ' steamer Lake Geneva in the Eastern Mediterranean, firing a torpedo from 300 yards which passed under the steamer. The submarine came to the surface and then submerged.,
A message from Valencia says that the master of the Lake Geneva confirms the attack.
