"LOVE AND KISSES"

RANEE AND PRINCESS

RECONCILED BY BUSINESS AGENT

(Received January 26, 11.25 a.m.)

NEW YORK, January 25,

Princess Baba, daughter of the Rajah and Ranee of Sarawak, was reconciled with her mother after her arrival from England with her husband wrestler, Bob Gregory, under circumstances highly characteristic of so-called American "ballyhoo." The couple's business agent announced that he had succeeded in getting the Ranee of Sarawak to agree to- a reconciliation only after hours of discussion. He then sent to the couple a wireless message: "Mama will meet you with love and kisses." The Ranee, who has, been visiting America for some time, met the liner, but when asked by a reporter if she disliked wrestlers replied: "Why should I? I have never met one before." She refused to pose for photographs with the couple until someone picked her up and carried her on to the deck.

Gregory declined to sign a wrestling contract here, and Princess Baba intimated they were going, to Hollywood, "though I can neither sing nor dance."

Princess Baba's marriage to Gregory was strongly opposed by her parents, who threatened to disinherit her.
