PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIP

SYDNEY, January 25. The bowling carnival was continued today in fine weather.

New Zealand results in the pairs championship were:—

Fourth Round.—Jackson and Petty won, 17-10; Whitten and Whiteside won, 25-16; Skinner and Bray won, 18-11; Harlow and Austin, a bye; Williams and Patton lost, 10-23; Best and "Wilkinson lost, 19-21; Chambers and Davis lost, 10-21; Whittaker and Clarke lost, 19-24; Mac.y and Denison lost, 14-20; Carbines and Griffiths, a bye; Proud and Hosking lost, 15-7; Somerville and Jury won, 25-15; Gatland and Layzell won, 21-7; Coutts and Leach lost, 9-16; Robertson and Livingstone won, 15-14; Rogers and Robertson tied, 16-16; Belcher and Hunt lost, 13-20; Macklow and Bremner, forfeited; Pomeroy and Hawking won, 22-17; Anchor and Evans lost, 9-31; Ure and Rankin lost, 14-26; Osmond and Goldflinch received a forfeit.

Fifth and Sixth Rounds Respectively.—Jackson and Petty received a forfeit and lost, 12-24; Whitten and Whiteside won, 25-14, and won 19-11; Skinner and Bray won 19-18 and lost 15-19; Harlow and Austin won, 16-14 and lost 15-24; Williams and Patton lost 26-7 and lost 14-25; Best and Wilkinson lost 12-20 and lost 12-18; Chambers and Davis won 20-11 and lost 11-17; Whittaker and Clarke tied 15-15 and received a forfeit; Macey and Denison won 20-11 and received a forfeit; Carbines and Griffiths won 17-15 and tied 23-23; Proud and Hosking lost 16-18 .and won 28-7; Somervill and Jury won 12-9 and had a bye; Gatland and Layzell won 27-21 and won 14-7; Coutts and Leach won 19-15 and lost 15-21; Robertson and Livingstone won 22-10 and had a bye; Rogers and Robertson won 14-2 and lost 19-22; Belcher and Hunt won 22-12 and won 19-11; Macklow and Bremner forfeited; Pomeroy and Hawking received a forfeit and lost 10-15; Anchor and Evans tied 16-16 and won 19-13; Ure and Rankine lost 15----28 and won 15-11; Osmond and Goldfinch ,vott. 20-15 and receiye&Et forfeit.
