merston North, who has taken him on lease from Mr. A. C. Feast. Mr. Nash raced a number of horses several years ago, the best of them probably being Imperial Spark. State Bank has won four races, but with any luck he would have achieved further success. Now seven years old, he is a brown gelding by Paper Money out of the Kilbroney mare Killena, hence he is no other than an older full-brother to Rerepai, a crack sprinter of some seasons back. Mr. Feast bought him cheaply as a yearling for 20 guineas., If this gelding keeps sound he might turn out a profitable performer during the coming winter.
