CLOSE CHAMPIONSHIP
The North Island (close) amateur championship will be played on the Manawatu Golf Club's links at Hokowhitu, Palmerston North, on Easter Saturday, April 16, and on the following Monday and Tuesday. This decision was reached at a special meeting of the New Zealand Golf Council held recently. Programmes for a tournament, which will include this championship, will be issued later by the Manawatu Golf Club.
