LONDON, January 1. Tho news that the Premier's 23-year-old so. . Mr. Francis Neville Chamberlain has become a gunner . m .the Biiminghnm Business Men's Battery, he 199 th Battery of the 69th Anti-air-craft Brigade, is likely to give * fllhp to army recruiting, especially in the vicinity of Birmingham, where the name or Chamberlain, is practically greeted with-the raising of hats. The Battery gained its odd nickname as a result of the perseverance of its comlrander, Lieutenant-Colonel E. R. Winnail in approaching" business houses Cor recruits. Another link between Parliament and the Territorials is Mr. Duncan Sandys. M.P., grandson of the Me Duncan Cameron, of Springfield, Canterbury, who is another fairly recent recruit.
