EFFORTS FOR SETTLEMENT

Several papers have recently stressed that the Premier, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, is continuing his efforts at settlement of European problems. He is particularly anxious to restore relations with Italy.
It has been suggested that Sir Robert Vansittart may go to Rome with this object.
