Mrs. John Ellis, Karori, is visiting her father, Mr. H. H. Loughnan, Avonside, Christchurch. Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Glover, who have been the guests of Mrs. G. Glover, Geraldine, have returned to Wellington. The Rev. Mr. Dodds, the Vicarage, Raetihi, and the Rev. Mr. Smallfield. the Vicarage, Drury Hill, Wanganui, are the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Myers, 96 Hobson Street, for Synod week. Mr. and Mrs. G. Horton Smith, who have been staying with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Craig, Takapau, have returned to Wellington. Mrs. S. Brewster ,and the Misses J. and K. Brewster, who have been visiting Wellington and Christchurch will return to Auckland during the week--end. Miss Juliet Kain, Orari, who has been staying with Miss Barbara Allan in Wellington, spent a few days with Mrs. W. T. Ritchie, Te Kawa, before returning home. After a recent meeting- of the executive of the Wellington After-care Association, the commutes entertained the mothers of the children of the club at afternoon tea and bade farewell to Mrs. T. B. Strong, a valuable member of the executive, who is going on an extended holiday to Cijristchurch. Mrs. E. Gamble is a Wellington visitor to Timaru. Mrs. C. C. Stanners and Mrs. H. Gibson, Eltham, have returned home j from a visit to Wellington. Mrs. G. Mishkin and Mrs. Glazer are Wellington visitors to Timaru and are staying at the Empire Hotel. Mrs. H. M. Caselberg, Hawera, who has been visiting Wellington, has returned home. Mrs. E. R. Coulter, Fairlie, is visiting Wellington for the W.D.F.U.) conference. Mrs. R. Gordon and her brother, Mr. Harold Adams, who have been visiting the North Island, have returned to Christchurch. Miss Mary Finlay, Auckland, has left .by car for Wellington and Palmersto'i North. Mrs. C. B. Webster, New Plymouth, •who has been visiting Wellington, has returned home. Miss Elizabeth Frater, Auckland, < with Miss Gytha Johnson, is visiting ' Rotorua. ' Mrs. Horrobin', Whangarei, is the guest of her sister,' Mrs. (J. Parsons, : Wellington, for the W.D.F.U. confer- ' ence. Smith, New York, is visiting the Dominion and is staying at the Hotel St. George. Mrs. R. C. Pitt, Blenheim, is a visitor to Wellington and staying for a few weeks with her sister, Mrs. C. A. Thorpe, Seatoun.
