HARRIER RELAY RACE

Four teams of four runners each took part in the Olympic Harrier Club's annual relay irace from Day's Bay to Wellington on the King's Birthday. A number of supporters of the club followed the runners in motor-cars and were provided with an interesting and hard-fought contest, in which the fortunes of the teams fluctuated a good deal.

The winning team, which will hold the Perston Baton until next season, was as follows: —S. Reid (captain), L. Meyers, A. Shaw, J. Lang.

A deputation from the City Council is to. wait upon the Education Board to request financial assistance towards the completion of the recreation ground at The Ridgway.
