WELLINGTON ARTIST

An unusual form of art is displayed in a showcase in the entrance hall of Nev Zealand House, by Miss Cecily Ellis, of Wellington (states a London exchange). The artist has painted Maori " designs and native flbwe'rs most effectively 'fin glass* ebck-' tail- sets, grapefruit bowls, and glasses. The process whereby the paint is fired on, as on china, ensures its durability, and it is interesting to know that a New Zealand artist is in the forefront of this new development.
