CROSSED DUCKS

; An exhibition of a cross between the j native grey duck and a tame duck was made at the last meeting of tht Wellington Acclimatisation. Society, and, reading of it, Mr. G. H. Young, lof Rai Valley, Marlborough, wrote to last night's meeting of the society that on his property there had for years been a flock of crossbred grey and Indian runner ducks, numbering, up to 70, which fed with their fowls; They were of all colours and sizes, and flew about the farm as wild ducks. Ona was pure white. A pure Indian runner drake had left the farm block and had lived'in..the river for the. last two years, having learnt 'to fly with a flock of wild ducks. Mr. Young said he would be pleased to show the flock of crossbreds to any representative of the society. > .
