HASTINGS, This Day.

A police raid in Hastings tn Wednesday evening had its sequel in the Magistrate's Court yesterday when Francis Stanley Rhodes appeared before Mr. J. Miller, S.M., charged with allowing rooms in Davis Street to be used as a common gaming-house. Rhodes, who pleaded guilty, was fined ,£3O, two months being allowed in which to pay.

Detective-Sergeant Revell said that he found-betting apparatus on the defendant's premises. It was the defendant's first offence.
